The Community Impact Fund, a nonprofit corporation organized and operating under the Laws of the State of Colorado, operates The Community Impact Fund web site, mobile application, the YouRaise website, the YouRaise mobile application, and related project funding platforms, and project funding platforms (“CIF”, the “Service”). CIF takes the privacy of those visiting our web site and/or using our Service (“Users” or “you”) very seriously. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service because Users have the right to know what information we collect, how it is protected and used, and the circumstances under which it may be disclosed. This Policy describes the various ways that we collect and treat information and content provided by Users so as to enhance your use of our Service while at the same time protect your privacy. Please read this Policy carefully, as your use of any CIF Service constitutes your acceptance of and agreement to the terms and conditions of the Policy. Do not use our Service if you do not agree with the terms and conditions of the Policy. This Policy may be modified from time to time without advance notice. Continued use of our Service by you will constitute your acceptance of any changes or revisions to the Policy.

Definitions

We may also collect information how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
From time to time we may invite you to submit content such as writings, video, audio, graphics, photographs, pictures, information, questions, comments, suggestions, ideas or other content through our web site or one of our social media accounts (“User Generated Content”).

Retention of Data
CIF will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data, in whatever format provided, to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

CIF will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service.

Disclosure for Law Enforcement
Under certain circumstances, CIF may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

Legal Requirements
CIF may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • To comply with a legal obligation
  • To protect and defend the rights or property of CIF
  • To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
  • To protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public
  • To protect against legal liability
  • In the event of acquisition of CIF to its successor entity.

Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us but no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

"Do Not Track" Signals
We do not support Do Not Track ("DNT"). Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform web sites that you do not want to be tracked.

California Residents and Do-Not-Track Disclosure

1) CIF may provide the Service to Users located in Europe.
2) In its interaction with European Users of the Service, CIF is a Data Controller such that we are the organization which decides the purposes for which and the ways in which any personal data that we have collected is used.
3) You agree that we are entitled to obtain, use and process the information you provide to us to enable us to discharge the Services.
4) Our lawful reason for processing your personal information will be “legitimate interests”.  Under “legitimate interests” we can process your personal information if we have a genuine and legitimate reason and we are not harming any of your rights and interests.
5) CIF is based in the U.S.A., and as such, you acknowledge and agree that your information will be processed and maintained outside of Europe.
6) CIF will maintain your information so long as your account is active and for a period of 2 years thereafter.
